Editorial Review : The Built To Rule G.I. Joe building sets are like Transformers meets LEGO meets G.I. Joe. With this building set you can build the Assault Quad, which is like an ATV with missiles or the stealthier Land Luge, for a sneak attack. This set is compatible with LEGO sets and other similar building systems, although the pieces don't quite have the snug fit that LEGO does. An action figure about 3 inches tall comes with the set; he's a Marine Recon Commander nicknamed "Gung Ho." Gung Ho looks cool in his military gear and clean-shaven head. He's highly articulated at the shoulders, elbow, legs, knees, neck and waist. Almost overly articulated, we had a hard time getting him to sit down in his vehicle. --Megan Sullivan
But does it hold together? My younger brother (a Lego freak) got this for his birthday the other day, but decided he didn't like it because it's not Lego. Since I used to be a GI Joe fan in years past, I thought I'd give a shot at building it. At first, it was okay... until I tried to put the figure into it. Then the whole thing fell apart. I had to modify "mode 1" for the figure to fit properly, and completely gave up on "mode 2." Good luck to anyone else who tries building this.
